Classical elegance in the city

We opened our restaurant in the heart of the city only two minutes walk away from the Basilica in Arany Janos Street. Our restaurant is fully air-conditioned. With its discreet and modern artistic design, it is suitable for both business and family occasions. It is situated on two floors, either of which is suitable for private function in itself. We offer a wide range of dishes from the traditional Hungarian cuisine as well as specialities from the Mediterranean. Our dishes are served with bakery wares fresh and warm from our own oven. Our chef and the rest of our friendly team working closely together guarantee the highest quality of food and service. Good food needs the accompaniment of good drinks - we recommend a range of Hungarian and international quality wines, a wide selection of cocktails and coffee varieties.
Visit us to try some of our specialities and spend a few very pleasant hours as our guest.

A not very elegant, nice little restaurant with lots of atmosphere. There is cosiness about it, but above all the food is fantastic.

This one is a top-notch restaurant with a cosy atmosphere right in the centre of the city. It wasn’t by accident that I went there as I’ve got friends working in Budapest and they recommended it to me. And how right were they. Everything was first class, anything we tried, wines, foods, the service. There’s a great, relaxed vibe in there, everything is comfy, even the chairs. I was really satisfied, can’t but recommend it to everyone!

I went on business trip to Budapest the other day and together with my business partners we visited this fantastic restaurant. I really wanted to try some local specialty so I asked my hosts to take me to a place where I surely would not be disappointed. And so it happened. It is a habit of mine that everywhere I go I like to try those possibly simple meals that are commonly prepared in local kitchens. I kept my habit here as well and ordered a real Hungarian meat soup, then I tried the famous Hungarian „lecsó” with sausage and as a third dish I had lamb trotter which I am not sure I should have had I felt so full, though it was very delicious. Food was impeccable, the staff was very polite and professional, and the place was exceptionally beautiful so I was absolutely satisfied with the night I spent at Kherion.
